
MMTA Foundation
The MMTA Foundation is committed to improving the quality of music education in Minnesota by supporting the educational and charitable objectives of MMTA. It is incorporated separately from MMTA and recognized by the IRS as a tax exempt 501(c)3 organization, able to accept tax deductible contributions. The Foundation manages its funds, seeks donations and raises additional funds to provide funding for:
- Student of the Year Award
- Awards for students who have demonstrated superior achievement in MMTA educational exams
- Awards for winners of the MMTA Young Artist Contest
- Awards for winners of the MMTA Composition Contest
- Travel grants for winners of the MTNA state and division performance competitions who are from Minnesota
- Professional development grants for music teachers
- Other projects that are related to our mission
