The MMTA Board recently voted to extend a 50% discount on the Syllabus package to MusicLink teachers who join MMTA as new members. This decision should prove to be a win-win situation, raising the professionalism of new MusicLink teachers while increasing membership in MMTA.

MMTA has consistently demonstrated its support of the MusicLInk program by waiving fees for exams, contest, and the Bridges program and by offering a 50% discount on the cost of all educational materials for MusicLink students. It also offers recertification credit to MMTA teachers who teach a MusicLink student.

MMTA recognizes the value of the MusicLink program and the positive impact MusicLink makes on the lives of promising children in need. This idea of one teacher reaching out to one student and agreeing to teach this student for up to half their normal fee is at the heart of MusicLink. Minnesota has responded like no other state and currently leads the nation in numbers of MusicLink students and teachers.
