Call for Proposals
The MMTA Convention Committee will be seeking session proposals for the 2020 convention in the fall of 2019. Submission deadline is December 15, 2019.
Our annual MMTA Convention attracts professionals from around the state who are eager to learn from the best in our profession. We offer presentations of the highest quality that appeal to both experienced and newer music teachers, covering a wide variety of topics related to pedagogy and business. Collegiate Poster Sessions
The MMTA Convention Committee is seeking Collegiate Poster Session proposals for the 2019 convention. For content and submission information, follow the link below. Deadline is April 1, 2019.
2020 Convention Schedule
A preliminary schedule of events will be available in early 2020.

How to Register
Interested in attending the MMTA Convention? Registration information will be available in Spring 2020.
*Please note: It is recommended convention attendees purchase meals at the time of registration. The number of meal tickets available for on-site registration is limited. Registration Desk personnel will be able to inform you at check-in if any tickets remain.
Exhibits and Showcases
A variety of commercial vendors offer printed music and other items for sale at the convention. Interested vendors will need to complete the registration form below to request booth space for 2019.
Educational vendors such as colleges, universities, and other non-profit groups are also welcomed and encouraged to be exhibitors at the 2018 Convention. A registration form is available below.
Vendors and other interested parties may present a Showcase session during the convention. Introduce attendees to new products; or highlight methods, products, and services which would be helpful to independent music teachers. Showcase presenters must also obtain booth space in the exhibit hall to sell their products - complete both a Showcase and Commercial Exhibitor registration form.
Presiders & Doorkeepers
Volunteers needed to serve as Presiders and Doorkeepers.
- A Presider introduces the person(s) presenting a convention session.
- Doorkeepers make sure anyone entering or exiting the session closes the door quietly.
