MTNA Foundation Fellow

October 2, 2017

The MTNA Foundation fellow program offers a very meaningful method for honoring deserving individuals while supporting the efforts of the MTNA Foundation Fund, through a donation to the Fund in that person’s name.

Each year the new MTNA Fellows are recognized at at the MTNA National Conference. They are prominently recognized on the Foundation Fund website, and their names then appear on a beautiful plaque located at the MTNA national headquarters.

We re SO pleased that Raeanna Gislason will be Minnesota’s 2018 MTNA Fellow at the MTNA Conference in March in lake Buena Vista, Florida this coming March.

Raeanna is a 45-year member of MMTA. During that time she established the Willmar Music Teachers Association, and it is so fitting that it is the same Willmar MTA that has now nominated her for this award!  Raeanna served MMTA as Theory Chair and later as President (1993-95).  Under the MTNA umbrella she served as Independent Music Teachers Forum chair. From 2012-2017, she served as Chair of the MTNA Fellow Awards for Minnesota. Raeanna retired from piano teaching in 2011.  She and her husband, Walt, now live in a retirement community in Wayzata, where she is the resident accompanist for the “Folkestone Singers.”

PLEASE HELP TO HONOR RAEANNA BY SENDING DONATIONS TO:
