2023 Piano Young Artist Contest

This will be an in-person event unless otherwise announced.

Students who are greatly accomplished in their musical studies are invited to compete in this contest.  A select number of students will be chosen in the Saturday contest to participate in call-backs on Sunday.  Winners perform either in the Honors Concert or in the MMTA Foundation Winners Recital.

Attached are lists that may be used to select a repertoire program for each student.  All music must be memorized and the program must fit into the time limits listed in the MMTA Handbook.

Prior to the contest date, students must have successfully passed the following Theory requirement:

• Junior Young Artist:  MMTA Theory Level 4
• Senior Young Artist:  MMTA Theory Level 5
• College Young Artist:  College-level Theory
