About the MMTA Foundation
MMTAF offers Teacher, District and Local Association Grants, Travel Grants for Minnesota winners of MTNA state and division performance competitions, and Monetary Awards for students who have demonstrated superior achievement in MMTA educational exams. Additional achievement awards include the Young Artist Winner, Student Composition Winner and Student of the Year.

Looking for a way to honor your student(s) that participated in the 2020 Piano Contest? The MMTA Foundation is here to help with Bravo Ads! Parents, teachers and friends of Honors Concert participants are encouraged to congratulate your student with a Bravo Ad! Bravo Ads include a photo of the performer and a brief congratulatory message which will be compiled into a video slideshow and published on Facebook for family and friends to admire. To make an ad:
- Make a payment of $25.00 to the MMTA Foundation by clicking the button below.
- Complete the Bravo Ad submission form by June 15. A digital photo may be uploaded to the form.

Used Music Sale
Support the MMTA Foundation with your purchase of new and gently used music. The MMTA Foundation supports teachers and students through grants, awards and scholarships. Robert Schmitt Professional Development Grants
The MMTA Foundation provides financial assistance for music teachers undertaking projects which enhance their professional development. Funding provided through a generous gift from Schmitt Music Company.

Student of the Year Award
Given to a senior in High School, the Student of the Year Award honors a music student who demonstrates involvement in MMTA programs. The candidate should display a strong record of service to his or her community through music; participation in musical ensembles; and skill as a performer and creative musician.
The winning student is awarded $1,000. This award is presented at the MMTA Foundation Award Winners Recital held the Sunday evening prior to the MMTA Convention.

Student MMTA Exam Awards
A large portion of MMTA Foundation distributions fund the Student MMTA Exam Awards. Monetary awards are given to the highest-scoring students after each academic year.
